The iOS 9 update for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch brings a lot of improvements to iOS users. Along with it, it also brought some problems. Keeping those complaints in mind, we discussed some of the most common iOS 9 bugs with possible reasons.
1. Apple iOS privacy FAIL: Again Lock screen unsafe
Description: A ‘serious’ security flaw has been discovered in iOS 9 which enables anyone to gain access to users’ personal data. To replicate, just enter four different incorrect passcodes, and enter three digits of the fifth. Then, tap the home button to fire up Siri as you enter the fourth. [Now] anybody can access Photos and Contacts on the device.
2. Performance Hit:
Description: A device was running smoothly later in iOS 8 builds yet iOS 9 has made the platform feel sluggish. It’s only a small difference – maybe milliseconds though it gets in the way of smooth operations, especially for actions which are burned into muscle memory and don’t depend on much conscious thought.
Possible Reasons: Maybe it’s because of the OS is running for the first time it generates file caches.
3. Crashes and Freezes:
Description: Again it has swapped security in iOS 8 for instability in iOS 9. This issue is mostly limited to a third-party application but not entirely and so is likely something that will be sorted out with application updates still nonetheless it’s an unwelcome speed bump.
Solution/Fix:Developer should replace those deprecated methods with the new methods.
4. Apps Flash A Black Screen prior to loading:
Description: The title much says it all. Fire up an application and sometimes displays a black screen for a second or so before the app goes on to load. When combined with the crashes and freezes it results in a momentary feeling of “has this crashed or not?” which is annoying.
5. Cut/Copy/Paste Pop-ups are erratic:
Description: Sometimes this works perfectly while other times it’s a challenge to select a small text and get the cut/copy/paste pop-ups to appear. Many times it happened where it had just not been able to get them to display at all.
6. Keyboard Hide and Seek:
Description: The keyboard appears to be erratic, popping up and down by its own. It’s precisely bad when trying to fill out web forms, can make accidentally tap on a link and move away from the form that loses whatever user has typed.
7. Jittery Orientation Control:
Description: Coming across some weird behaviour with regards to the way iOS 9 handles device orientation. One of the weirdest is when an application shows in one orientation, but switching to the Home screen triggers a shift to the other orientation. This means user wildly shaking his iPhone from one to the other orientation for the past few days.
8. Beware of upgrading Notes:
Description: iOS 9 gives the option to upgrade Notes to the new smarter Notes which allow annotations that is very cool. But by using Notes on Mac and it if is not running OS X 10.11 El Capitan, then upgrading it on iOS will make them unsupportable till it is not upgraded.
Possible reason: Because in iOS 9 the notes have much more functionality than the older version so whenever adding some pictures or adding something except the text in iOS 9 notes app, it will not identify the device that do not have the notes application with the same capability(e.g OS X Yosemite).
9. Alarm/timer not buzzing/Notifying on the scheduled time:
Description: Some user complains that they have set an alarm for a particular time, but iPhone did not buzz/notify them at all.
Possible reason: Maybe there is code error that do not trigger the notification sometimes for the user.
